Hi, I’m Zoe! I’m super excited to be a model for The Tonic Blog.

I discovered Second Life during my senior year of high school, while reading about augmented reality applications in manufacturing. After three years as a management science major, and two summers interning at Boeing, I lost interest in manufacturing. Now I sell real estate, but I still spend time in Second Life as often as I can.

Early in my Second Life (about two minutes into it) I realized that I was… umm… sorta… deformed. OMG, those default avatars are terrible! Especially the hands and feet. I spent every moment I could researching and experimenting with mesh avatars. I even had a makeover salon for a while, where I helped other residents get started with mesh.

Most of the mesh avatars out there are pretty amazing, but they all seemed to exaggerate certain features (like my butt and my boobs). Seriously, does anyone really want to look like Kim Kardashian? I’m not super curvy and I wanted my Second Life persona to reflect that. Then I discovered Tonic! With a Tonic Fine avatar I was finally able to have realistic (for me) proportions.

A frequently-voiced concern with Tonic is that there aren’t a lot of clothing options available. Introducing The Tonic Blog! It’s the perfect shopping companion. The availability of mesh clothing for Tonic has really exploded over the past few years, and The Tonic Blog is the go-to resource for fashion-conscious Tonic Girls.

I am soooo excited to be working with Erwin, Karina and everyone else at The Tonic Blog to showcase the creative talent being directed toward making all of us Tonic Girls look fabulous. I hope you like what you see 😉

Hugs and Kisses,
